Sitting Down with Kestin: A Conversation with Kestin Hare<\/h1>\n

In order to take a deep dive into our New Brand Kestin<\/a> we sat down with the brand\u2019s Creative Director, Owner & Father Kestin Hare to find out more\u2026<\/p>\n

Calum<\/strong>: I would love to hear about the heritage and name of the brand.<\/p>\n

Kestin<\/strong>: I think when I first started out, I didn\u2019t really see myself working for myself. I always wanted to work for somebody else. When I was training, it was always about the big names, I want to work for, you know, Margaret Howell or I want to work for Burberry, or I want to work for, you know, whoever, whoever it was.<\/p>\n

That was my kind of focus, I suppose when I graduated and came out of studying fashion. After a while, I suppose you get to a certain point where life changes and you\u2019ve got different priorities of where you want to be. I definitely wanted to come home. I think, you know, us as Scots have got that kind of inbuilt home in Beacon, that kind of drives us to get home at some point. So I came home and started something.<\/p>\n

My former Japanese partner at the time who, you know, they\u2019re, they\u2019re quite big on namesake brands, you know, they like that, the personality of it. And so they were my partner at the time and they sort of decided that, you know, it should be called Kestin Hare, which I was always a bit kind of like, woo!<\/p>\n
