Sneaker History in All-white<\/h2>\n

In adidas<\/a>‘ new \u00bbHome of Classics\u00ab collection, ten of the most timeless silhouettes the brand has ever released come in a radiantly clean all white. Led by the top dogs Superstar and Stan Smith, the other eight silhouettes o?er a wide range of retro looks and contemporary styles. True to the motto \u00bbMade with care – worn without\u00ab, adidas encourages everyone to rock the sneakers as they please. This philosophy means that a shoe is only given character when worn, so the white uppers of this collection are comparable to a canvas on which you can do anything you want. Each and every experience serves as a color supplier and is included into the picture that has been painted with street dust, mud or grass green. So while thinking about this beautiful image we just created, read on and find out why this pack drips with sneaker and sports history.<\/p>\n

Stan Smith Recon<\/h3>\n

The history of the Stan Smith Silhouette is as unique as it is long. When legendary US tennis player Stan Smith ?rst gave his face for the shoe tongue, the model was still named after Robert Haillet, a French player. It wasn’t until 1978, thirteen years after the original release, that the tennis shoe o?cially became the \u00bbStan Smith\u00ab and since then the sneaker has undergone a constant evolution that every lifestyle hype can only dream of. After 53 years, countless versions and colorways, the \u00bbStan Smith Recon\u00ab Pack was released in 2018. Thanks to the premium leather, it is probably one of the noblest variations of the iconic Stan Smith to date. With that history, the Stan Smith Recon has earned its rightful place in the \u00bbhome of classics\u00ab.<\/p>\n

Supercourt<\/h3>\n

The Supercourt, not to be confused with the SC Premiere, is a new model from adidas that embodies its idea of a tennis-style shoe in 2019. Decorated with small details drawn from the depths of the design archive, the simple upper tames the bulky rubber cup sole.<\/p>\n

\u00a0SC Premiere<\/h3>\n

Although the nubuk waveforms of the SC Premiere only saw the light of day this year, the silhouette has probably already proven to be timeless. As with the Supercourt, over 50 years of design ideas for tennis sneakers are ?rmly anchored in the DNA of the SC Premiere. These two young styles have definitely earned the title of the twins of the \u00bbHome of Classics\u00ab pack.<\/p>\n

Continental 80<\/h3>\n

Originally released as the adidas Powerphase in the 80s, the Continental 80 celebrated a glorious return to the sneaker spotlight last year. While the split cup sole and logo window have been retained, the classic three stripes have been replaced by a two-tone cross-line. In the \u00bbHome of Classics\u00ab version, this line is kept in white of course.<\/p>\n

A.R. Trainer<\/h3>\n

In 1988 the A.R. Trainer was developed for tennis players who wanted to be prepared for all sports ?eld-related adversities. Whether sand, grass or concrete, every terrain could be conquered and every victory could be celebrated with this shoe. Being an integral part of the adidas lifestyle area now, the A.R. Trainer rightly adorns a place in the \u00bbHome of Classics\u00ab pack.<\/p>\n

Torsion Comp<\/h3>\n

The Torsion Comp was particularly popular with tennis players in the 90s thanks to its superb EVA cushioning and torsion system. With many perforated details and OG shape, this silhouette is as hot as ever.<\/p>\n

Superstar 80s<\/h3>\n

Hardly any other adidas sneaker line is as steeped in history as the Superstar family. Originally released as a low version of the basketball shoe Pro Model, the Superstar enjoyed worldwide popularity thanks to Run-DMC. Back in the day, the New York rap group expressed their pop antipathy by dressing exactly the same on stage as on the streets, so they wore their superstars without shoelaces and with their shoe tongues sticking out. Since then, the shoe has been reinterpreted countless times. For example, in 2015 Pharrell Williams added 50 (!) di?erent Colorways to the silhouette.<\/p>\n

Nizza Hi RF<\/h3>\n

It’s no coincidence that the Nizza Hi RF was the only hightop silhouette to make it into the \u00bbHome of Classics\u00ab pack. Even back in the 80s, its vulcanized sole provided safe dribbling for an entire generation of basketball players. Combined with the canvas upper, it still o?ers long-lasting comfort today.<\/p>\n
