HHV Out Of Office: Sächsische Schweiz
On The Trail
Living in Berlin you sometimes miss seeing the hills on the horizon… luckily it doesn’t take too long to change that. Just a 2 hour train ride southeast you can find the town of Bad Schandau at the foot hills of Sächsische Schweiz National Park.

As we were there for 2 days we wanted to see as much as we could.

The first morning started with a 25km trail run splitting the mountains following the iconic Kirnitzschtalbahn tram track before going up and over and ending in the town of Schmilka. In the early evening we went on a hike to visit Schrammsteine.

After a big breakfast on day 2 we hit the trails once again for a scenic hike around Kleiner & Grosser Winterberg, covering over 500m of elevation and 15km distance.

Make sure you spend the time to get our of the city and spend sometime in nature!
