The Future of Running

Yesterday, the city of Berlin celebrated the ever-iconic Berlin Marathon. On the days leading up to the marathon, we had the opportunity to visit ON at Kraftwerk!

Alongside a panel talk featuring 032C’s Maria Koch and Marie Georgarakis, who leads the manufacturing technology initiatives at ON where they discussed everything that has lead to the introduction and development of the viral, record-smashing LightSpray shoe. We then sat down for dinner under the incredible art of Boris Acket.

During a quiet moment, we were able to sit with German marathon record holder Samuel Fitwi and talk all things ON, Running, and Lighstspray! Samuel told us the story about how he came to be one of the first people globally to test the LightSpray. He describes it as having 3 new prototypes placed in front of him with the option to try one… naturally, the pair with no laces and a futuristic upper took his fancy. It wasn’t long after he broke the German marathon record in Valencia in 2024.
