Designed to Last
Q&A With Another Aspect
Fashion often celebrates what is new and modern. Another Aspect, however, has built its identity by challenging that idea: creating garments designed to live in a wardrobe for years rather than just a single season. Since launching in Copenhagen, the label has quietly built a collection of refined essentials built on what it calls “everyday elements.”
That philosophy has remained remarkably consistent since the beginning. The first product Another Aspect ever released – the Shirt 2.1 – continues to embody the principles that define the brand today.

Co-founder Daniel Brøndt tells HHV, “That shirt was a relaxed version of an everyday shirt in a very agile silhouette. We still have that product today, and how we designed it is still very much how we design our garments today. We don’t overdo it, and we choose great fabrics that can speak for themselves.”
Instead of treating garments as finished products, Another Aspect sees them as part of an ongoing development. Familiar silhouettes return season after season, refined through subtle adjustments in cut, fabrication, and construction instead of dramatic redesigns.
“Everything we do is more or less in constant collection, that’s moving. We always strive to improve upon things and make them better. But we still don’t want to create noise for the sake of it. We’re much more interested in creating garments that people are using every day and keep coming back to,” Brøndt continues.

This approach puts stock in incremental improvements, resisting the fashion industry’s pressure to create novelty or endless collaborations. At the center of that process is fabric. Before considering silhouette or styling, material is what captures the team’s attention.
“For me, it all starts with the fabric: is it interesting? Then it comes down to the cut: is this something I could see myself use for a long time?”
That fascination with textiles naturally extends to Another Aspect’s growing use of repurposed fabrics. While often framed through the lens of sustainability, for the brand the practice is also an exercise in discovery. Designing with existing materials means responding to what’s available, allowing each fabric’s unique qualities to influence the final product.

Brøndt reveals, “It’s fun! Because you never know what’s around. There’s something rather charming about wandering through the mills in Italy and spotting a roll of fabric tucked away. A modest gem, waiting for its second life.”
The same measured approach defines the company itself. Although each of the three founders – drawing on backgrounds in professional football, fashion design, and menswear retail – brings a different perspective to the business, years of working together have created a shared understanding of what Another Aspect should be.
“We all three have different viewpoints, but still very aligned in our decision-making. We have known each other for 15 years now, and are very split between creative, branding, and PR. So I would say that our viewpoints and skills complement each other in a great way.”
That clarity of vision also carries over into the founders’ own wardrobes.
“We make what we want, on our own terms, and my wardrobe is still built around what some might call ‘boring’, but I would rather describe as considered, practical and enduring.”

Those principles don’t just influence what they design – they shape what they wear. While longtime staples remain in regular rotation, new designers can be an opportunity to observe how a garment develops through daily use.
“I’m very much into testing the new stuff that we are making, so at the moment my favorite piece is our new leather jacket. We have never worked in leather before, so it’s very much about being able to test it and see how it develops into a different product through use. I have been wearing the leather jacket for the last year now. Paired with a pair of our Jeans 3.0, that’s been in my uniform for a long time as well.”
In many ways, that long-term perspective captures the essence of Another Aspect. Their goal isn’t to produce statement pieces that dominate a season, but garments that have to earn a permanent place in someone’s everyday wardrobe.
So what, then, is the greatest compliment someone could pay the brand?
“Wearing it for a very long time.”
