Starting the brand in 1995 in Boulder, Colorado (USA), the founders of Chrome Industries have always strived to create simple and functional bags that meet the needs of everyday urban life, whether you are a cyclist or a pedestrian. The quest for innovation and easy, yet safe handling led to the early development of the first messenger bag with a seatbelt buckle; this bag was made on a Japanese Juki sewing machine with a couple yards of Cordura® fabrics and tarpaulin from military stock. Special features such as the iconic Quick Release buckle, stabilizing straps, dual wall construction and durable 5-bar fabric quickly made Chrome Industries bags the gear of choice for bike couriers. For nearly 25 years, the brand has been dedicated to the processing of modern, durable materials and the development of virtually indestructible components, and has become a daily companion not only to cyclists but also to everyone who values style, functionality and durability when it comes to bags.

With the brand new »Avail Series«, Chrome Industries is focusing on another important aspect of its philosophy: comfort. By merging the latest technologies, fabrics and manufacturing techniques, the American brand created a unique bag that embodies innovation, comfort and a sleek design. Both the 18 oz truck tarpaulin made from 100% nylon with PU coating as well as the interior made from Ripstop nylon, make the entire Chrome Industries Series waterproof and super hard-wearing, while also maintaining the shape of the bag. The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps covered with high-elastic knit nylon and the back panel made from custom-molded dual-density EVA foam allow sufficient airflow between the carrier and the backpack. The »Avail Series« additionally features several sophisticated details such as a multitude of smaller compartments and pockets inside as well as on the exterior of the bag, an elastic side water-bottle pocket, an integrated laptop sleeve and reflective side webbing, all of which really enhance the functionality of the bags.
